Since the Grand Opening of our Advanced Technology Center in March we’ve hosted customers from all over the world and shared our suite of solutions with technical experts committed to accelerating Industry 4.0 at companies like 3M, Gerber, SC Johnson, PVH, John Deere, CAT, Cargill, Case New Holland, Kubota, and Boston Scientific. During customer visits our goal is to share our suite of solutions with customers and find ways to help them improve safety, product quality, and employee productivity in their manufacturing processes.
Our AUTOCRAFT™ autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) continue to experience unprecedented growth as manufacturers look to increase the velocity of material in their supply chains and transition from fixed conveyance to fully autonomous, highly flexible build lines. With strong customer partners we are leveraging shared expertise in collaborative robotics and 3D printing to stretch the limits of “possible” and bring disruptive innovation to the manufacturing ecosystem we serve.
To accelerate collaboration with our customer partners, Eckhart recently purchased Eagle Engineering. Located near Davenport, Iowa and less than two hours from Chicago, Eagle Engineering serves some of the largest agriculture and heavy construction companies in the world. We appreciate the strong relationships we’ve formed with key customers in the region who treat us as true partners in their business and invite us to help them improve safety, quality, and productivity in their factories.
In August we expect to make a major announcement with a technology pioneer located in Cambridge, Massachusetts that we believe will change how products and processes communicate with the world around them. In March of this year, Eckhart acquired one of the leading controls companies in the state of Michigan, Logic Plus. Logic Plus is a UL certified electrical control cabinet and automated controls design and integration solutions provider that serves a broad range of industries including pharmaceutical, consumer electronics, plating & anodizing, waste water treatment, food, and residential construction. Core competencies include custom designed and manufactured control systems, programmable logic controllers, process control automation, human machine interface, and automated material handling solutions. Logic Plus customers include Nestle, Cargill, Herman Miller, General Mills, and CertainTeed Corporation.
With help from the Logic Plus team, Eckhart is well positioned to rapidly accelerate the deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies that are shaping the smart factories of the future. In addition, Logic Plus enhances our ability to scale and grow our controls, robotics, and automation-based suite of solutions and bring real value to all of our customers.

On March 13th, Eckhart celebrated the Grand Opening of our Advanced Technology Center in Warren, MI. In addition to showcasing our Industry 4.0 based suite of solutions, we had the pleasure of hosting WJR 760 AM radio host Paul W. Smith who provided live coverage of our celebration. Recently Logic Plus was presented with a check from Michigan Works for funds awarded through the state of Michigan’s Skilled Trades Training Fund program.
The Skilled Trades Training Fund (STTF) awards grants to employers to assist in training, developing and retaining current employees and individuals to be hired. Eckhart actively participates in the STTF program and as a collective company received over $50,000 resulting from 2017 grant applications. Eckhart is proud of our Michigan locations that partner with the state to help grow the local economy and invest in the development of our employees.
On May 19th Eckhart sponsored a Family Fun Night in Lansing for employees, family, and friends. Everyone was treated to premium field-side seats at the Lansing Lugnuts baseball game and the catered dinner and postgame fireworks did not disappoint!
